A million universes. A million dangers. One destiny.
The fate of the multiverse rests in Marguerite Caine’s hands. Marguerite has been at the center of a cross-dimensional feud since she first traveled to another universe using her parents’ invention, the Firebird. Only now has she learned the true plans of the evil Triad Corporation—and that those plans could spell doom for dozens or hundreds of universes, each facing total annihilation.
Paul Markov has always been at Marguerite’s side, but Triad’s last attack has left him a changed man—angry and shadowed by tragedy. He struggles to overcome the damage done to him, but despite Marguerite’s efforts to help, Paul may never be the same again.
So it’s up to Marguerite alone to stop the destruction of the multiverse. Billions of lives are at stake. The risks have never been higher. And Triad has unleashed its ultimate weapon: another dimension’s Marguerite—wicked, psychologically twisted, and always one step ahead.
In the epic conclusion to Claudia Gray’s Firebird trilogy, fate and family will be questioned, loves will be won and lost, and the multiverse will be forever changed. It’s a battle of the Marguerites . . . and only one can win.
Its finally done. This series is finally over, and I really miss it. I remember when I fell in love with the cover of the first book and then ultimately the book itself. I feel so bittersweet about the series ending, but all good things must come to an end, right?
So, lately, I’ve been rereading books. Its mostly so that I can remind myself of what happened in previous books in a series. I did this for A Thousand Pieces of You and Ten Thousand Skies Above You. Except, this time I decided to do an audio reread. I mostly did this to de-stress, and it really helped. I think listening to audiobooks when I need to just tune out and get lost in a book is my favorite thing right now. And I do recommend the audiobooks for this series. The narrator did a really good job with differentiating between all the different Marguerites in the multiverses. It actually felt weird to read the last book in physical form, and I ended up using the voice of the narrator from the audio books in my head as I was reading.
A Million Stories.
A Million Worlds With You did introduce some new multiverses, but like the second book, it was mostly revisiting universes in the past books. Which totally makes sense in relating to the conspiracy that was built up in the over arching story. I think this book is a little bit more action packed than the previous two. Theres so many twists and turns that I had no idea what was going to happen in the story. The story had me flipping the pages so fast. My only complaint was that I felt like the ending seemed rushed, or fell just a bit flat. I guess I just wanted more and I didn’t want the book to end.
A Million Marguerites.
I think looking at the characters themselves and their development is really complex with this series. There are so many Marguerites, Pauls, Theos, etc, but they all have the same core personality thats been morphed by their environment. Seeing the different versions of each character makes you kind of think of what would they do in this situation? Even further, if you had a million versions of yourself, what would those different versions do in specific situations? Alright, lets reign in the philosophy. Thats my husband’s job.
I really loved this book. Honestly, its one of my favorite series. I recommend it everyone. And its got Beatles references! Multi-dimensional travel, romance, action, and so much more. What else could you need?
