Every Day meets Cloud Atlas in this heart-racing, space- and time-bending, epic new trilogy from New York Times bestselling author Claudia Gray.

Marguerite Caine’s physicist parents are known for their radical scientific achievements. Their most astonishing invention: the Firebird, which allows users to jump into parallel universes, some vastly altered from our own. But when Marguerite’s father is murdered, the killer—her parent’s handsome and enigmatic assistant Paul—escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him.

Marguerite can’t let the man who destroyed her family go free, and she races after Paul through different universes, where their lives entangle in increasingly familiar ways. With each encounter she begins to question Paul’s guilt—and her own heart. Soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is more sinister than she ever could have imagined.

A Thousand Pieces of You explores a reality where we witness the countless other lives we might lead in an amazingly intricate multiverse, and ask whether, amid infinite possibilities, one love can endure.

Hey guys, so like I promised, if I read any books during my break, I would post up a review. Well, I’ve got one for you! I thought it would be a little while longer until I did post up something, but this book was so good.

This is the first Claudia Gray book that I have read, and it did not disappoint. It actually makes me intrigued to read her other books.

So I’m not gonna lie. I was ultimately drawn into this book at first because of its cover. Its gorgeous. For some reason, I like books with a plain white base to it. It makes the color on top of it really pop out. But after reading the synopsis, I was even more drawn in. This is a story about a girl named Marguerite Caine. Her parents are genius physicists who have recently invented inter dimensional travel, or rather they invented a device that allows them to travel between parallel universes. Pretty epic, right? But soon after, Marguerite’s father is murdered by their assistant, Paul. He steals the Firebird, the device that allows them to travel, and escapes. Marguerite and the other assistant, Theo, follow Paul’s trail in order to capture her father’s killer.

This book had so much to offer. Theres conspiracy, mystery, a crazy inter-dimensional love triangle, science, and so much more. My favorite universe that they visit was the Russian one. In that universe, there was no Russian revolution, and so there is still a Tsar. Marguerite’s family descends from Russian royalty, and she turns out to be the Grand Duchess and daughter of the Tsar. As you probably know, I love history. Being able to imagine a world where the Romanov’s still lived is crazy cool to me!

I really have no complaints about this book. Its got great action and a great love story. If you love science, the possibility of multiple universes, then this book is for you.
