**I received a free copy of this from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.**
It breaks my heart to do this, but I have to DNF and say goodbye to The Girl From Everywhere. At 72%, I found myself putting down this book multiple times, sometimes after reading for only a minute.
I just wasn’t invested. and at 72%, I had to realize that I probably wasn’t going to get invested. There were many reasons why I didn’t get invested. I didn’t really relate to any of the characters and quite frankly, I don’t think I liked any of them. This means that I didn’t care what happened to them. The romance felt like a distraction as well. There was something missing with the world building. I didn’t find the mythical creatures or even the time travel believable. This is problematic since the whole premise of the book is time travel.
It pains me to have to say that I’m done with this book, but at some point I just need to move on!
Also, I just found out that there may be differences between the advanced copy I had and the final published copy. I might visit this story again in the future!
Thanks to Cyra at Rattle the Pages for suggesting I do a mini-review!
